As promised, some of the purses I made while working through anxiety this past week. Before, they were a flour sack & bed sheet, capri pants, and a jean skirt & pillowcase, respectively. More pics in Finished Projects Album (on right).

I admire you so much. You are all in my prayers each day. I would like to know how you can do all this sewing and take care of that precious niece? I have been trying to get back to sewing and I am not having much luck. I must admit, I have lots of work to do outside of this place so when “J” gets back you can come for a visit. I love to sit and just scan over this site. My love and prayers

You are very creative! These are as good or better than any of the purses I see out there for sale (not that I shop for them or buy them, you understand. If you start designing wallets, we’ll talk).

I would be happy to make something for you. I was thinking yesterday that I really am going to have to start selling these – both to get them off of all the doorknobs in the house and to pay for all this fabric. Plus it is quite a bit of work, even though therapeutic. I’ve had a few people ask me to make them things now, so I guess I will have to start opening up shop for commissions.
I have been stalking Etsy for a while now. Wanting to buy things, wanting to sell things. I may try it.

I was going to ask if I could commission a bag having seen some of your earlier work–and, dare I say, these are even more adorable! You should check out Etsy.com, the crafters equivalent of eBay, if you do decide to try to make a little ‘anxiety cash’. I’d certainly pay for the pleasure of having a true original that I didn’t have to sew myself.

Ok, I agree with the other post-er, you need to start selling your crafts, kiddo. How in the world you can envision a pair of capris into a purse is amazing to me. Toooo doggone cute!
