An "Emily Tote" for my always-loyal (excuse the redundancy) friend Erin. Erin has been my friend since the first deployment, just months after marrying J. During the second deployment, she watched me fall apart when J. was forward deployed in the initial "storming of Iraq" in March 2003. I remember fretting in her office and crying at her house (try staying away from the news when you work at a TV station). She worried for me and with me. I needed that kind of friendship. And I still do. She knows it. I didn’t have to ask her to come visit me twice this year; she just decided to because she cares. It’s expensive and exhausting and she gets terribly sick on planes. But she’ll be here anyway.
Thanks for your friendship, Erin. Can’t wait to see you!

The “through thick and thin” kind of friends are rare. Treasure the ones God gives you. I have lots of good friends, a few “really good” friends… and only one friend that I count as a sister. I consider myself blessed by them all.
I thank God that you have a friend like Erin. So Watertown *WAS* part of God’s plan for you and J!!
Look forward to the pictures of your visit.
