In an attempt to curb my spending at the fabric store and other retail places, I went to the Goodwill. How does one spend $60 at Goodwill?! I came home with pounds of items to use in future projects. Among the awesome finds: vintage crochet wrap – $6, leather clutch – $2, vintage pattern – $.50, and flamingo & palm tree print pillowcase (future tailored summer shirt for E.) – $1
Mom says
… memories of years gone by stirred up by daughter’s thrift store finds? …
Priceless!
C, I know you won’t believe this, but I actually had–and used–that pattern you bought! As a matter of fact, if my memory isn’t short-circuiting here, I think this is the shirt I was sewing by hand when your dad decided I needed a proper sewing machine. (Like many of my projects back then, I didn’t finish the shirt *s*)
